Preface: I always took excellent care of this vehicle, getting routine maintenance done on schedule and had any other repairs done when needed. Used Seaview multiple times for repairs. Some times work was done right the first time, other times had to return to get it done right. The last time was a total disaster -- Intake manifold gasket was replaced. Cost over $1000. 200 miles later, motor developed knock. Rod bearings were bad. At first they wouldn't take responsibility and wanted to charge me thousands to replace the engine. Fortunately I have some mechanical ability so planned to replace engine myself. However, when I took off the intake manifold I saw the valley was full of debris from their repair. Took the engine out. The oil pan was full of more debris. The rod bearings on back 2 cylinders were bad. Took the rod bearings to two mechanics for review. Their opinions were the engine was stated without oil. Whether the failure was due to debris or no oil, confronted Seaview
